ARTISTS' REPRESENTATIVE

Tim Pannell behind the scenes.

September 20, 2017

I have had the pleasure of representing Tim Pannell now for over five years.  In that time, I have witnessed the team he has created work seamlessly together.  Whether they are shooting executives in Paris, super heroes on set or millennials on rooftops, Tim and his crew create a working atmosphere that allows for all involved to be relaxed and let their creative potential come to the surface.  Below is behind the scenes from a recent shoot  for an electronics company in Salt Lake City.

Don't really like to brag, but hard not to share this client's kind words we received after the wrap.

"As I go through the work we have created today, I can feel the unlimited passion, commitment and dedication from each one of you in every shot and frame. The weeks and pain to orchestrating this was present for sure. The result was for me the best shoot I have ever been part of in my career and it is because of you. I would gladly work with each one of you again in a heartbeat.  Please extend my thanks to the rest of the team."

Hope we can do the same for you soon.  timpannellphotography.com

What happens when a group of foodies work together?

August 23, 2017

What happens when a team full of foodies get a chance to work together? Team Kauck found out when they completed a beautiful project with our friends at Cramer Krasselt. The team was tasked with creating POS imagery for the high end grocery chain, Mariano's.
It turned out to be a labor of love for all involved from the photographer, the agency, the client and all of the crew. With Jeff's guidance and beautiful lighting, a topnotch food and prop styling team coupled with an amazing client and agency. The results were mouthwatering images created to entice the stores clients to leave with tasty organics, decadent pastries and wonderful prepared meals. Below are some of the images our client walked away with. You tell me,.......I think they hit it out of the park.

Gallery Opening for Barbara Karant!

March 26, 2015
Karant_11-1
Karant_2-1On April 3rd there will be a gallery opening for Barbara Karant"s new series, 820 Ebony Jet at the Workspace Gallery in Lincoln, Nebraska. I wanted to share with you some of these fabulous images and her notes on the background of her project. If you would like to see more images from this show and can't make it to the gallery, please visit barbarakarant.com.

From Barbara:
This project documents the core essence of the Johnson Publishing Company's historic building in its semi-skeletal state before the final remnants of John Moutoussamy's architectural design, Arthur Elrod's interiors and the last vestiges of the original JPC communal workspace vanish.

820 South Michigan is about to morph into a new and different functionality when it transforms into the future repository for artistic content, a new library for Columbia College. The building contains bits and pieces of its long time occupant Johnson Publishing and still embodies the spirit of this landmark African-American company who occupied the building from 1972-2012.

The textures, colors, residual structures and remnants from the Johnson workplace all combine to create a unique, altered environment supplying the inspiration for the imagery. Outside of the influence of human intervention, time has been mark-making within The Johnson Building for over 40 years. Through serendipity and in concert with the individuals who occupied the space, gestures have been created by the movement of light over the surfaces revealing an expressive vocabulary which documents the passage of the decades. The absence of furniture and personal artifacts does not negate the reminder of its previous intensely vital occupancy, transcending both time and memory and providing a collective narrative of the past.

CBS Sunday Morning featured the making of Colleen Moore's Fairy Castle that resides at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry this past weekend. Photographer Barbara Karant had the pleasure of shooting the castle for a book entitled "Within the Fairy Castle".
